GTK+ and Cairo for Win32

Later this page will - to some extend - describe the build process of Gtk+ 2.8 including dependencies. At the moment this is kind of stalled due to cairo build issues. Another attempt to provided an accepted build approach for Cairo on win32 is cairo-2005-04-10-hb.diff. But it failed like the previous ones.

Anyway, the update got updated. Also now with a cairo 1.0 release and also gtk+ 2.8 released there is a dedicated cairo/win32 page.

But if you are only interested in a stable win32 version you may want to look at the gtk-2-6 build instruction instead.

The drawing (antialiased!) already is an improvement (if you dont care for speed).

But the current state of text support is not, see bug #314114.

Compared with the gtk-2-6 color selection (the missing XP style is no a GTK+ issue).

Some notes about Cairo usage can be found here. More info on cario internals on its own page.
